DevOps Engineer – SC/DV Cleared (eDV Opportunity)

Location: Malvern (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you a talented DevOps Engineer with active SC Clearance or MOD DV Clearance looking to take the next step in your career?

We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing team in Malvern, delivering secure, mission‑critical solutions for government and defence customers. This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, automation and CI/CD practices while being supported through the process of obtaining Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) clearance.

The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building and supporting secure cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for critical national security programmes. You’ll collaborate with software engineers, architects and security specialists to deliver resilient, scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery.
  • Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Deploy and manage containerised applications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and enhance platform performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure solutions.
  • Ensure environments meet stringent security and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across DevOps practices and tooling.

About You

You’ll ideally have experience with:

  • Active SC Clearance or MOD DV Clearance (essential).
  • Experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools.
  • CI/CD platforms including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell.
  • Linux administration.
  • Git version control.
  • Monitoring, logging and observability tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
