Overview
Service Delivery Manager in the Emergency Department of Royal London Hospital. The role focuses on operational delivery, service improvement, staff and resources management to meet national targets and enhance patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage key A&E performance targets, driving continuous improvement in patient experience through balanced demand and capacity planning.
- Support clinical teams to develop the service in line with the clinical strategy, working with Clinical Directors, Consultants, Matrons and Head of Nursing.
- Set clear and transparent KPI measures and deliver them at the required level.
- Resolve operational problems, escalating to the Service Manager when necessary; develop processes and allocate work/resources to ensure a high‑functioning service.
- Implement service improvement initiatives and support change in clinical care pathways.
- Lead and support projects, nurturing staff to develop their knowledge and skills.
- Ensure first‑class customer experience through confident communication and effective management of the administrative team and reception supervisors.
