Leicester College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor/Mental Health Worker to join our Wellbeing team on a part‑time, fixed‑term basis until 30th June 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide therapeutic support to students within a Further Education setting.
Qualifications
- An experienced practitioner with a recognised counselling qualification at Diploma level or above.
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths or the equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above.
- Confident in managing a varied caseload, working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary wellbeing team. Strong communication, organisational, and time‑management skills are essential.
The successful candidate will hold current membership with a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP) and demonstrate clear adherence to relevant ethical and professional standards.
Responsibilities
The role involves delivering counselling support across Leicester College campuses using a blended approach, including face‑to‑face, telephone, and online sessions.
