At L&Q, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and thriving communities. As a Senior Development Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex housing‑led regeneration projects, ensuring excellence in quality, value, and customer satisfaction.

Are you an experienced senior project manager with a strong track record in housing‑led regeneration? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment and have the skills to manage stakeholders, budgets, and risk across multiple projects?

Our Impact in the Role:

  • Project Leadership & Delivery: Manage a portfolio of housing‑led regeneration projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead on project team working and contribute to bidding for new regeneration schemes.
  • Strategic Development & Planning: Support the identification and evaluation of new and existing regeneration opportunities. Contribute to business case development, options appraisals, and the production of detailed project plans and risk registers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners including local authorities, joint venture partners, contractors, and consultants. Represent L&Q in public forums and governance groups.
  • Financial & Risk Management: Take responsibility for project budgets, ensuring effective financial control and best value. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with planning, funding, and legal obligations.
  • Team Leadership & Compliance: Manage and support project staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with health and safety, regulatory, and governance standards.
  • Customer Focus & Social Impact: Work with the Communities team and L&Q Foundation to deliver long‑term social and economic regeneration outcomes. Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality of accommodation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Project Management Expertise: Strong experience managing complex housing, regeneration, joint venture or construction projects, with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Skilled in financial planning, risk management, and value engineering, with a focus on delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes.
  • Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Technical Knowledge: Professional qualifications (e.g. RICS, CIOB, RTPI, RIBA) or equivalent experience, with knowledge of planning, development control, and construction practices.
  • IT Proficiency: Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems, development appraisals with strong coordination and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer & Community Focus: A commitment to customer satisfaction and experience working in customer‑facing environments.
