Mpeople Recruitment is recruiting for a Product Compliance and Quality Control Coordinator to join a reputable business based in Middleton.

Role: Product Compliance & Quality Control Coordinator

Location: Middleton

Salary: Up to £28,000 (£17.95 per hour / £35,000 pro rata)

Hours of work: Flexible hours within a Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 framework, 30 hours per week.

They are creating a dedicated compliance specialist position to ensure their products meet GPSR, WEEE, and packaging compliance standards. This part‑time role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to shape a vital function in a close‑knit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and other relevant UK and EU regulations.
• Manage and maintain technical files and documentation for all products.
• Coordinate and oversee quality control checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations and proper disposal of electronic waste.
• Oversee packaging compliance, ensuring that packaging materials meet environmental regulations and are properly labelled.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure products meet all necessary standards before shipment.
• Stay updated on changes to regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports and certifications to authorities.

Desired Attributes, Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in product compliance, quality assurance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations (GPSR, WEEE, packaging, etc.).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for working with suppliers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with other compliance areas like RoHS, CE marking, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with product testing and certification processes.
