FIre Alarm Engineer – Sub-Contractor Location: Calderdale Council Area (Halifax & Bradford) Start Date: Beginning of May Rate: £250 – £300 per day We are seeking an experienced Fire alarm Service Engineer operating on a subcontract (CIS) basis to support a maintenance contract across council-owned buildings within the Calderdale region, including Halifax and Bradford. Work will be carried out across a variety of sites, including social housing, offices, and public buildings. This role suits an engineer who can work independently and is confident across multiple fire alarm systems. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systemsService, fault-find, and repair fire alarm systemsEnsure compliance with relevant standards and regulationsComplete service reports and documentation accuratelyLiaise with on-site contacts, including council staff and building managersWork safely within occupied buildingsRequirementsProven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer (essential)Strong fault-finding skills on fire alarm systemsKnowledge of relevant standards (e.g. BS 5839)Experience working in commercial/public sector environmentsFull UK driving licenceOwn vehicle, tools, and test equipmentWhat’s on Offer£250 – £300 per day (CIS only)1–2 month contract with early May startVaried work across council buildingsPotential for extension depending on workloadIf interested, apply now or call Ashleigh 01753687876…
