Dentist (NHS – Urgent & Supportive Care)
We are looking to appoint a GDC‑registered Dentist with an active NHS Performer Number to join our friendly and well‑supported dental service.
This is a flexible opportunity, with any days or hours considered.
The role focuses on the provision of urgent and unscheduled NHS dental care on a sessional basis, alongside offering out‑of‑scope NHS clinical support to Dental Therapists.
You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and receive tailored on site and remote clinical support, as well as an experienced administration and management team, allowing you to concentrate on delivering safe, effective patient care.
This post is suitable for dentists at different stages of their careers. Newly qualified dentists or those newly added to the NHS Performers List are warmly encouraged to apply, as strong clinical supervision, mentorship, and ongoing support are available both on site and remotely.
Remuneration is very competitive and negotiable, depending on experience and working pattern. In addition, an NHS Dental Incentive Scheme of up to £20,000 is available, subject to eligibility and scheme terms.
The successful candidate will hold current GDC registration, have an active NHS Performer Number, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centred care. An interest in urgent or emergency dentistry and supporting Dental Therapists would be advantageous, though full support will be provided where needed.
