Chief Financial Officer
Private Equity-Backed Managed Services Platform
Location: London
Renumeration: £200k + bonus + equity
JI2104
We are working with the shareholders of a private equity‑backed managed services business to appoint a high‑impact Chief Financial Officer at a pivotal stage in the company’s evolution.
The business generates north of £20m in revenue, is cash‑generative and EBITDA positive, and is executing a clearly defined growth strategy combining organic expansion and targeted M&A. The CFO will play a central role in shaping and delivering the value‑creation plan, partnering closely with the CEO, Board, and private equity sponsor.
The Role
This is a hands‑on, value‑creation CFO role, with responsibility extending well beyond finance stewardship. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Own the end‑to‑end finance function, including financial control, reporting, FP&A, cash management, and governance
- Act as the principal financial partner to the CEO and PE sponsor, supporting strategic decision‑making and Board engagement
- Build and embed scalable financial infrastructure, reporting, and KPI dashboards appropriate for a growing, acquisitive platform
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management with a strong focus on EBITDA growth and cash generation
- Play a leading role in M&A activity, including acquisition modelling, due diligence, funding structures, and post‑acquisition integration
- Ensure the business is consistently exit‑ready, with investor‑grade reporting, controls, and processes in place
This is a role for someone comfortable operating at pace, rolling up their sleeves when required, and bringing commercial rigour to a fast‑moving services environment.
Candidate Profile
We are looking to speak with senior finance leaders who combine technical credibility with operational and commercial mindset, including:
- Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Proven experience as a CFO in a private equity‑backed or investor‑owned environment
- Background in managed services, business services, IT services, or similarly people‑led models
- Strong experience driving organic growth alongside acquisition‑led expansion
- Deep understanding of cash, working capital, margin management, and scalable cost structures
- Confident Board‑level presence with the ability to influence stakeholders and challenge constructively
- A practical, delivery‑oriented approach — this is not a delegative CFO role
