Hybrid working with three days in the office per week – we have an office in the centre of Bristol and South London

Overview 

Obsurvant is a growing market research and data collection agency, removing barriers to online research through innovation and tech-driven data collection. 

Our work revolves around surveys, delivering sample only and full service online quantitative research projects with PR and market research agencies, brands, and consultancies. We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to drive our continued growth.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on sales role where you’ll be building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping clients get the most out of what we do. You’ll work closely with our operations team, attend industry events, and play a genuine part in shaping Obsurvant.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Identifying and researching new business opportunities within market research agencies and consultancies
  • Building relationships with prospective clients – through LinkedIn and outbound activities booking calls, meetings and presentations.
  • Supporting on pricing proposals, assessing feasibility, and recommending the right methodologies
  • Collaborating with the operations team to make sure projects are scoped properly and clients are happy
  • Representing Obsurvant at industry events and networking sessions
  • Managing inbound leads and following up to convert opportunities
  • Supporting account growth and maintaining high service levels across new and existing clients
  • Keeping CRM activity up to date and contributing to sales reporting / pipeline management

The ideal candidate will have

  • 2-4 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management – specifically within online market research
  • A proven track record working within the world of panels, selling sample only or full service research into agencies or brands. 
  • Understanding of online quantitative research or more specifically the online sample landscape 
  • Comfortable pulling together RFQs, working with incidence rates and a clear understanding of differing client requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with research professionals.
  • Ambition to grow within the company, exceeding targets and managing a pipeline.
  • Comfortable using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, G-Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bonus points for a familiarity with numerous online sample management and data collection tools.
