3 months initially, with a very high likelihood of extension
36 hours per week, 1 day per week office / tribunal attendance
Venn Group is working with two brilliant London Boroughs in their search for a Education Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.
Requirements:
- A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor or Barrister
- Specialism within Education, specifically SEND and evidence of practising this post-qualification
- Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Possess an expert knowledge and understanding of law and legislation relating to education
- Attend tribunals and hearings on behalf of the Borough as appropriate
- Train and mentor junior lawyers / paralegals as appropriate
