About the Company

US Elite Firm Seeks Senior Corporate Associate to join its private equity group in London.

The successful senior associate would work closely with the partners on a wide spectrum of high-value and sophisticated private equity transactions. The corporate practice at this firm is a dedicated group of lawyers with deep experience in private equity transactions, acting primarily for high profile private equity sponsors and institutional investors on a range of complex , cross-border investments, including leveraged buy-outs, minority investments, carve-outs, special situation transactions and growth and venture capital.

About the Role

This role offers significant client exposure, teamwork on headline deals, and the chance to support global clients on sophisticated private equity transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation drafting, and leading the transactions advising private equity sponsors and institutional investors on a range of complex investments, including leveraged buy-outs, minority investments, carve-outs, special situation transactions and growth and venture capital;
  • Leading transactions re capital solutions and complex M&A cross-border transactions; and
  • Coordinating with other practices (Real Estate, Tax, Finance, Private Equity) and international offices of the firm to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications and skills required

  • You must have 6-10 years post qualification experience (slightly more senior might be considered);
  • Must have strong transactional experience in private equity, advising similar clients and drafting all transaction documentation;
  • Must have gained your experience to date at a global elite law firm, as experience on similar sized transactions for similar clients is a prerequisite;
  • Must have experience managing juniors and international counsel on similar transactions;
  • Must be admitted to practice in the UK (i.e. have current practising certificate with the SRA)
  • Strong academics desired; and
  • Strong work ethic and collaborative attitude desired.
