Head of Music (Music Teacher)

A forward-thinking & leading Secondary School in the Borough of Haringey is hiring a Head of Music (Music Teacher) for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent & full-time contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of Music Teachers (KS3–KS5)
• Design & tailor a music curriculum to suit the cohorts’ needs and wants
• Manage multiple personalities and foster a collaborative environment
• Work with trainee teachers, ECT, Teach First and experienced staff to deliver high standards

Qualifications and Experience

• UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Strong understanding of the Music curriculum
• Ability to motivate, inspire and drive standards throughout the department
• Experience of managing a diverse team of teachers and supporting their professional development
