Deputy Team Leader – Scrub

Applications are welcome from experienced Registered Nurses and ODPs who wish to develop new skills in management and leadership.

This role is within Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a provider of acute hospital services to Surrey residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist surgical scrub and circulating clinical support.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and Theatre Coordinator to establish a good working environment and to use staff, supplies and services efficiently.
• Demonstrate high-level organisational skills, including time management, prioritisation and the organisation of clinical and managerial responsibilities.
• Participate in effective clinical leadership and management of the team, supporting and developing junior and new members.
• Deliver a high‑quality service ensuring patient care, safety and experience are of the best possible standard.
• Maintain continuous professional development and ensure safe work practices.
• Show leadership and supervise others in all aspects of the caring process.
• Deputise for Team Leaders, taking charge when required, maintaining high standards of practice and acting as a role model.

Qualifications

• Experienced Registered Nurse or ODP.
• Motivated to learn new skills and knowledge in management and leadership.
