Project Health & Safety Lead – Data Centre Build

Salary: 75,000 – 85,000 + PackageLocation: Buckinghamshire Site-based (5 days per week)

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Health & Safety Lead to join a leading main contractor delivering a major data centre build.

This is a key leadership role on a high-profile, technically complex project, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of health & safety standards from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Health & Safety activities on site
• Drive a strong safety culture across all site teams and subcontractors
• Ensure full compliance with UK H&S legislation, company policies, and client requirements
• Develop, implement, and monitor H&S plans, RAMS, and method statements
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Act as the primary H&S point of contact for the client and senior project team
• Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to site leadership where required

About You

• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Lead / Manager on large construction projects
• Data centre experience highly beneficial, though not essential
• Strong background working for a main contractor
• Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
• Confident operating in a live, site-based environment
• Comfortable being on site 5 days per week
• Proactive, professional, and able to influence at all levels
