Role

The Security & Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of company facilities, ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, secure, and fully operational. This includes working with property landlords where applicable and overseeing the maintenance of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general building services. The role also has responsibility for site security, including CCTV, access control, and monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with TAPA EMEA standards. Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager and senior stakeholders, the position reports to the Business Services Senior Manager and plays a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the safety, cleanliness, and condition of all interior and exterior areas, including regular facility walkthroughs and follow-up actions
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs across facilities, recording costs and updates using the Facilities Tracker and planning for future business needs
  • Source and cost facility-related services and equipment as required, seeking approval from the Business Services Senior Manager (BSM)
  • Oversee workplace security arrangements, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and security guards, ensuring compliance with TAPA FSR, GDPR, and ISMS requirements
  • Investigate and review security incidents, identify risks, and recommend corrective and preventive actions in line with KPIs
  • Maintain and update security, safety, and facilities policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance
  • Prepare sites for internal and external TAPA FSR audits and support audit activity as part of the audit team
  • Liaise with internal teams, security providers, and external sites, including periodic travel to conduct risk assessments and support business continuity arrangements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a facilities and/or security management role, ideally within an industrial or logistics environment
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience

  • Experience of MS SharePoint in a corporate environment
  • Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma Green belt or higher
  • Exposure to Quality management systems and Internal management systems
