We are seeking a technically accomplished product leader to spearhead the architectural evolution of our AI-driven learning platform. 2 Hour Learning requires a strategic architect capable of combining CTO-level technical rigor with transformative product vision, all applied to unlocking student achievement at scale.
This position differs fundamentally from conventional product management centered on feedback iteration or incremental enhancements. You will assume executive-level technical product ownership, commanding the architecture, technical roadmap, and AI integration across our complete learning ecosystem. Your mandate includes navigating complex technical trade-offs to maintain lean, scalable products laser-focused on student outcome improvement. You will operate with the strategic depth of a CTO while maintaining the velocity of a product entrepreneur, synthesizing engineering discipline with learning science principles to drive continuous innovation.

What You Will Be Doing
- Building and applying comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic direction
- Authoring technical specifications that codify critical technical choices while prioritizing simplicity, operational efficiency, and sustainable architecture
- Deploying generative AI capabilities to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with our strategic objective of minimizing manual intervention

- Focusing primarily on people management; your technical and business judgment will be the primary drivers of success in this role
- Spending time in meetings, committees, or administrative overhead; we have systematically automated management layers to enable direct value creation through applied work
- Proposing high-level strategy divorced from execution detail; your guidance must emerge from product-level understanding
Vice President Of Product Engineering Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical owner (CTO-equivalent) for one or more education products, commanding core capabilities and generating business impact through flawless execution and strategic direction
Basic Requirements
- 7+ years of experience driving critical architecture and design decisions on software initiatives, including the selection of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies
- 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery accountability for a revenue-generating product
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI agents to design, build, and test software products or features
Working with us
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
