PMLD Teacher Assistant – East London

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support as a PMLD Teaching Assistant for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
• Support pupils with PMLD during classroom learning, sensory activities, and daily routines
• Assist teachers in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Support pupils with mobility, communication, and personal care needs where required
• Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Requirements

• Experience working as a PMLD Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
• Patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive SEN team
