Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer – Location: Heywood | Salary: £40,000-£44,000 DOE | Benefits: Overtime, Bonus Scheme, Healthcare, Pension, Life Assurance & more | Hours: Monday-Friday
A well-established UK manufacturer is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background to join their flagship Heywood facility. You’ll be working with modern, high-spec machinery as part of a collaborative engineering team focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is a forward-thinking organisation that invests heavily in staff development, training, and long-term progression.
Responsibilities
- Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to maximise OEE, minimise downtime, and enhance equipment reliability
- Work closely with engineering colleagues, production teams, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain exceptional health & safety standards and promote safe working practices
- Identify improvement opportunities and support the implementation of process enhancements
- Contribute to ongoing engineering and improvement projects
Skills & Experience
- Time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Experience within Food, FMCG, Packaging, or similar fast-paced industrial environments is highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-demand setting
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude toward learning and development
- Capable of working independently when required
- Open to internal training and upskilling opportunities
