We are hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to join a prominent technology firm in Abu Dhabi. This role operates within a startup style environment nestled inside an established entity, offering the agility of a new venture with the stability of a major organization. You will be at the forefront of designing end to end solutions for major financial institutions and government entities, focusing on pre-sales and advisory functions to define clear problem statements and bespoke technical journeys.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary technical advisor during the pre-sales phase to design custom solutions based on specific client needs
• Lead architecture workshops with financial institutions and technology vendors to facilitate design reviews
• Work closely with Business Development teams to pitch sophisticated technical platforms to senior leadership
• Transform financial and regulatory requirements into detailed technical designs that meet strict governance standards
• Embed security by design across identity management, data protection, and threat modeling. Collaborate with data scientists to ensure AI-driven components are explainable and meet regulatory expectations
• Mentor engineers and designers to uplift the overall architectural maturity of the team
• Review vendor proposals and deliverables to ensure they meet high quality and compliance benchmarks

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture
• Strong domain expertise within financial services or banking is essential
• Proven background in solution architecture with a focus on pre-sales or advisory rather than delivery
• Experience working directly within banks or consulting for major financial entities
• Technical proficiency in Azure or AWS cloud stacks and distributed systems like microservices
• Knowledge of payment platforms, risk analytics, or regulatory technology
• Familiarity with financial standards such as ISO 20022 or AML frameworks is preferred
• Exposure to buy-side institutions or major payment networks like Visa and Mastercard is a plus
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
