SPECIALTY DOCTOR in Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)

Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call
South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Specialty Doctor to join the Enhanced Team East CMHT based at Baghill House Health and Wellbeing Centre, Pontefract, WF8 1QW. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the working age adult community service, Wakefield. Vacancy has arisen due to substantive post holder leaving the job. Team is comprised of 1.0 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologists, CPNs and social workers. Medical secretaries will support the post holder. Mobile phone and all IT support including digital dictation are available.

About the Trust
This role is part of a community mental health team within South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust, providing community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield.

Experience

Qualifications
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
Transport
- Holds and will use a valid UK driving licence.
- Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or Must have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application.
- Spent a minimum of four year (full time or equivalent) in ST, specialty doctor or staff grade posts, in the UK or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 years training in adult psychiatry or demonstrable achievement of the necessary equivalent experience and competencies.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- Experience in General Adult psychiatry is desirable. Equivalent experience is acceptable, if appropriate competencies can be demonstrated and with agreement of the Chief Medical Officer.
- Experience working in other medical specialties including general medicine, geriatric medicine, and A&E.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment (as joining a middle tier on‑call rota).
