Mechanical Project Manager The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee two high-value mechanical installation projects within operational HM Prison Service establishments. You will take full ownership of delivery across both schemes, managing programme, budget, quality, and stakeholder relationships in a secure and regulated environment. Project values are in the region of £2m – £4m. Start date: May 2026.

• Leading end-to-end mechanical project delivery across both sites; managing subcontractors, supply chain, and site teams; producing and maintaining detailed programmes; reporting on cost, risk, and progress to senior management; liaising with the Prison Service and client representatives; ensuring all works comply with prison security protocols and regulations.
• Proven experience delivering mechanical projects of comparable value (£2m-£5m+); strong knowledge of M&E systems and building services; excellent stakeholder management skills; a methodical and proactive approach to programme and risk management. Ideally, previous experience working within prisons, secure facilities, or occupied/live environments is advantageous. All successful candidates must be able to obtain HMPPS security clearance prior to commencing on site; we will support you through this process.
• Rate: £370 – £420 P.D (DOE).
