In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. Working alongside talented technicians and leaders, you will use your expertise, cutting‑edge technology and problem‑solving skills to ensure efficient, sustainable and high‑quality production.
This newly created role leads quality across our assembly lines, blending proactive quality governance with reactive issue resolution. You’ll work closely with the Plant Quality team and report to Production Managers, playing a key role in shaping quality performance as our electrification capability expands.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Drive compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and apply our QMS across assembly lines.
- Lead resolution of escalated assembly quality issues, driving root‑cause analysis and robust corrective actions.
- Champion proactive risk management, identifying and mitigating quality risks within operations.
- Coach and mentor teams to strengthen problem‑solving capability and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead quality audits, improvement projects and performance reporting to deliver measurable gains.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Significant experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem‑solving expertise using 8D, DMAIC, FTA and PDCA methodologies.
- In‑depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems aligned to IATF 16949.
- High capability in data analysis, reporting and performance management.
- Confident leadership ability to influence, challenge and engage at all levels.
