Joiner / Roofer

Belfast & Across Northern Ireland | Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

I’m currently working with a well-established construction and property services contractor that is looking to recruit an experienced Joiner / Roofer to join their growing team.

This is a varied role working across residential and commercial insurance reinstatement, maintenance and refurbishment projects throughout Northern Ireland. You’ll carry out high-quality joinery and roofing repairs, helping restore properties following fire, flood, storm and accidental damage claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out 1st and 2nd fix joinery to a high standard.
  • Complete roofing repairs and general roof maintenance works.
  • Install and repair kitchens, flooring, mouldings, doors and ironmongery.
  • Undertake general building maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Complete insurance reinstatement repairs, restoring properties to their original condition.
  • Assess repair requirements and identify the scope of works on site.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and safe working practices.
  • Deliver a professional service while working within occupied residential and commercial properties.
  • Liaise with Project Managers to coordinate materials, schedules and project progress.
  • Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.

About You

To be considered you’ll ideally have:

  • Time-served Joiner or NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix joinery.
  • Good roofing knowledge and experience carrying out roofing repairs.
  • Experience within property maintenance, refurbishment or repair works.
  • Valid CSR Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Desirable

  • Insurance reinstatement experience.
  • Basic plaster patching.
  • Wall and floor tiling.
  • Basic plumbing repairs.
  • General multi-trade maintenance experience.
