We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) on a North West Schools contract. The role is predominantly electrical with a strong multi‑skilled background and experience of building services.

This is a hands‑on role suitable for an individual who can work independently, take initiative and has a proactive approach to all tasks. The ideal candidate is a conscientious and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as this is a client‑facing role. They should be able to plan and supervise their own workload and produce quotes for additional work by obtaining material costs and writing up the scope of works.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance.
  • Building services tasks.
  • Work as part of a maintenance team to deliver a great service to the client.
  • Electrical fault finding, wiring, emergency lights, power distribution, sockets, circuits.
  • Belt changes, filter changes and coil cleans on AHUs/FCUs.
  • Boiler resets, basic plumbing and fabric tasks.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert).
  • 18th edition knowledge of building fabric and experience carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required.
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations for maintenance activities.
  • Prepared to work out of hours when required.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Participation in a call‑out rota.
