Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Water

Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or London (Hybrid)

Up to £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on some of the UK’s largest water infrastructure programmes?

Advance TRS are supporting a global consultancy who are looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer. They are expanding their Water team and are delivering high-profile AMP8 and long-term AMP9 programmes across the UK. With a strong pipeline of secured work, this is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of water and wastewater infrastructure while progressing your career in a collaborative, innovative environment.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering electrical design solutions across a range of clean water and wastewater treatment projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative, high-quality engineering solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Producing and checking detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports
  • Supporting and leading electrical design for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and associated infrastructure
  • Delivering multidisciplinary projects using the latest digital design tools
  • Developing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors and delivery partners
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely and to the highest quality, environmental and regulatory standards

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or be working towards it)
  • Experience delivering electrical design within the water and wastewater sector
  • Experience on design & build projects using digital design platforms
  • Strong technical leadership and collaborative working skills
  • Experience delivering projects from feasibility through to detailed design
