Advance TRS are supporting a global consultancy who are looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer. They are expanding their Water team and are delivering high-profile AMP8 and long-term AMP9 programmes across the UK. The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering electrical design solutions across a range of clean water and wastewater treatment projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative, high-quality engineering solutions.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Producing and checking detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports
- Supporting and leading electrical design for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and associated infrastructure
- Delivering multidisciplinary projects using the latest digital design tools
- Developing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Collaborating with clients, contractors and delivery partners
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely and to the highest quality, environmental and regulatory standards
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or be working towards it)
- Experience delivering electrical design within the water and wastewater sector
- Experience on design & build projects using digital design platforms
- Strong technical leadership and collaborative working skills
- Experience delivering projects from feasibility through to detailed design
