Job Description:

Production Engineer

Location: Woking, Surrey

Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per annum

We’re supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Woking looking for a Production Engineer to join their team.

This is a varied role offering exposure across product configuration, technical drawings, internal coordination and production routing. It would suit a graduate engineer or someone in the early stages of their engineering career looking to develop within a supportive environment.

The role

Working as part of a close-knit team, you’ll support products moving from customer enquiry through to production.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and updating 2D technical drawings using CAD software
  • Supporting technical responses to customer requirements
  • Coordinating internally with manufacturing and warehouse teams
  • Routing components through production processes
  • Supporting estimating activities linked to production time and resource planning
  • Preparing technical documentation where required
  • Working closely with internal teams to support delivery of projects

This is a varied position with strong interaction across departments rather than a purely desk-based design role.

About you

We’re interested in candidates who:

  • Hold a degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
  • Have gained some experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Have exposure to CAD (AutoCAD helpful but not essential)
  • Communicate confidently with colleagues across teams
  • Are organised, adaptable and keen to learn
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment

What’s on offer

  • Flexitime working week with flexible start times (from 7:00am)
  • Early finish on Fridays (typically around 1:00pm depending on hours worked)
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (34 days total)
  • Option to carry forward unused leave
  • Structured onboarding and training support
  • Access to an employee assistance programme (wellbeing, legal and medical support)
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Salary sacrifice private medical cover options
  • Ongoing personal development support
  • Free parking on site
  • Regular company social events
