  • Work from SolidWorks models and technical drawings to produce machining strategies, tool lists and set-up sheets
  • Design and detail jigs, fixtures and tooling for safe, repeatable manufacture
  • Improve material utilisation, cycle times and machining efficiency through better nesting and process planning
  • Support new product introduction, from prototype through to full production
  • Work with operators and supervisors to resolve machining and quality issues
  • Help create and maintain BOMs, SOPs, work instructions and set-up documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across CNC and fabrication processes

  • Experience with 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
  • Good problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to process improvement
  • Practical manufacturing or engineering experience, ideally involving plastics, fabrication, routing or sheet material machining

  • Experience programming or supporting CNC routers
  • Experience machining plastics, composites or similar sheet materials
  • Familiarity with Alphacam Automation / Automation Manager
  • Exposure to LEAN manufacturing / 6S
  • Experience with assembly work in automotive or similar sectors

Personal Attributes

  • Hands-on and practical in approach
  • Naturally curious and interested in how things are made
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Committed to right-first-time quality
  • Able to work well with both engineering and production teams

  • Company pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • On-site parking / free parking
