Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Development Manager to join a growing consultancy specialising in decarbonisation, retrofit and engineering services based in the North West.
This role will take ownership of developing and securing public sector contracts, playing a key role in driving business growth across construction, M&E and energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver business development strategy targeting public sector clients
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers
- Identify and secure new opportunities across frameworks and direct awards
- Manage pipeline, KPIs and sales forecasting
- Support bid submissions and tender processes
- Track opportunities and maintain CRM systems
- Provide regular reporting on activity and performance
Qualifications
- Proven track record in securing public sector contracts
- Strong network within local authorities, NHS, education or housing
- Background in construction, building services or energy sector
- Experience managing sales pipelines and bid processesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
