Job Description:

We are looking for a highly organized, enthusiastic Commercial Manager who shows initiative and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders and clients. This exciting opportunity requires a team player who maintains the smooth running of commercial negotiations, deal structuring and alignment to pricing policies, supporting the Commercial Director, Sales and Legal while interacting with senior management to ensure great financial and customer outcomes. You will love working with sales and view yourself as a deal “enabler” rather than “controller”.

The responsibilities of the role include:

Commercial Support

  • Supporting Sales and Legal in negotiating commercial terms with clients to secure mutually beneficial terms for Smart Communications and our customers.
  • Guiding Sales team in structuring commercial proposals.
  • Assist Sales with ensuring correct product configurations and commercial terms are represented then drafting order forms and related commercial paperwork to reflect these.
  • Ensure that pricing policies and approvals are followed.
  • Work with the Legal and Sales operations teams to ensure that compliance, data privacy and commercial terms are incorporated properly into templates for sales contracts.
  • Advising senior management on commercial risk.

  • Supporting Sales, Sales Management and Legal with commercial solutions to business problems.
  • Ability to understand and manage the tension between the detail and the big picture.
  • Strong negotiation skills including directly with the customer.
  • Highly skilled at building pricing and deal propositions
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable working with contracts and legal documents.
  • A team player who creates positive working relationships.
  • Extremely well‑organized individual with a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and sales management with deal structuring.
  • Experience leading and/or supporting high‑value, complex negotiations.
  • Working in a SaaS or technology environment.
