Locum Occupational Therapist – HASS Team – Redbridge (DFG Experience a must) (£41 Per Hour)
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the HASS Cranbrook & Loxford locality team – a supportive, multi-disciplinary service delivering integrated health and social care.
Location: Redbridge
Team: Locality-based MDT (Cranbrook & Loxford)
Caseload: Approx. 4 cases per week
Case Complexity: Mix of standard and complex OT cases
About the Role:
You’ll be working within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, managing a varied caseload and delivering holistic, person-centred assessments for individuals with a range of health and social care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete complex OT assessments, support planning, and reviews
- Assess for and recommend major adaptations and specialist equipment (including DFG-related work)
- Interpret plans, prepare sketches, and provide detailed specifications for major works
- Deliver manual handling assessments and guidance
- Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team
- Manage and prioritise complex cases autonomously
- Provide advice, training, and ensure safe use of equipment in line with legislation and best practice
Essential Requirements:
- HCPC recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
- Strong experience with major adaptations, specialist equipment, and manual handling
- Proven ability to complete complex, person-centred assessments
- Knowledge of social care and housing legislation
- Ability to manage, prioritise, and progress complex caseloads independently
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team setting
