Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner Team as a full‑time Mental Health Practitioner based in Cannock North. If you hold a professional registration in nursing, occupational therapy, or social work and are interested in creating a responsive and holistic mental health service within a primary‑care setting, this may be the role for you.
Significantly more investment in voluntary, non‑statutory services is being made as part of our transformation work to support patients in accessing the services they need. We need qualified mental health professionals who have the passion, enthusiasm, and skills to be part of this new way of providing community mental healthcare.
You will work with one or more primary‑care networks in the South Staffordshire area to provide assessment and brief intervention treatment for individuals presenting with mental health needs. You will carry out mental health assessments following agreed practice guidelines as part of a Primary Care Network Team and undertake the development, implementation and review of care planning and risk management. Delivering a high‑quality clinical service to service users, their families and carers in primary care is central to the role.
