Position: Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Location: Abingdon

Salary: 40,000-50,000

Responsibilities

The Electronics Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of digital and analogue circuits, and will provide technical input on electronic hardware and embedded software principles.

Required Qualifications

• Designing Digital and Analogue Electronic circuits
• Embedded Software development
• Experience with 16/32‑bit Microcontrollers (PIC, MSP430, Cortex)
• Working knowledge of Op‑Amp and Oscillator Circuits
• Understanding of Low‑Noise design techniques
• Experience with Analogue‑to‑Digital converters (ADC, 16/24‑bit)
• Experience with Schematic Capture & PCB layout tools
• Understanding of Electro‑Mechanical Principles (motors, actuators, sensors)

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with PLCs and programming in Ladder Logic or Structured Text
• Knowledge of Control Systems Engineering
• Experience with LabVIEW software and hardware within the National Instruments ecosystem
• Understanding of Test & Measurement Principles
• Initiatives to reduce carbon and manufacturing costs
