About the Role
Shape the future of GCSE and A level Business and A level Economics with teacher-trusted qualifications that inspire the next generation of learners.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Humanities qualifications team.
This role is principally managing the Business and Economics qualifications, however depending on business need the role could involve working on other subject areas.
Whilst a Business and/or Economics GCSE and A level background is highly desirable, we welcome candidates with other subject expertise and a passion for education and curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Proposition Development
Develop and maintain deep customer and market insight
Contribute to subject strategy development and execution in partnership with the wider portfolio team
Create compelling, differentiated qualification propositions with clear USPs
Track competitor activity and identify opportunities for innovation and growth
Qualification Design & Development
Scope, design, and develop qualifications that inspire teachers and engage learners
Support the development, submission, and approval process in line with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to produce high-quality content and assessment materials
Customer & Market Insight
Build and maintain a strong evidence base of learner and teacher needs through ongoing research and engagement
Develop relationships with subject stakeholders to inform qualification development and continuous improvement
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pedagogy, assessment best practice, and curriculum developments
Lifecycle Management & Commercial Ownership
Manage qualifications across their full lifecycle, including launch, growth, and redevelopment decisions
Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning for qualifications
Contribute to annual planning cycles
Customer Experience & Engagement
Deliver a best-in-class customer experience through events, support services, and ongoing engagement
Plan and deliver customer-facing events and training initiatives
Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through feedback and insight
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement data-driven campaigns and customer journeys
Work collaboratively across teams to support portfolio growth
Ensure alignment across all stages of the product lifecycle
Skills & Experience
Must have:
Background in education, curriculum development, or qualifications
Strong understanding of GCSE and A Level qualifications and the UK education landscape
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly
Nice to have:
GCSE/ A level Business and/or Economics subject expertise highly desirable
Experience in product management, portfolio management, or a similar role
Commercial awareness, including budgeting and forecasting
Ability to translate customer and market insight into clear product strategies
Leadership & Culture
Work effectively across virtual and cross-functional teams
Champion a customer-first mindset, ensuring decisions are driven by the needs of teachers and learners
