Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will be part of a close-knit, experienced finance team within a respected company renowned for its strong internal controls and commitment to excellence. About you: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent); part-qualified candidates with significant relevant experience may also be considered Strong background in management accounting, statutory reporting, and financial processes Proven leadership and supervisory skills Experience working within computerised accounting systems (ideally Sage Payroll, Microsoft Navision/Business Central) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Attention to detail with a “right first time” approach Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive mindset Willingness to travel within the UK and ROI for stock takes and audits What you’ll do: Lead and support the Group Accounts team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Prepare management and statutory accounts, budgets, and financial forecasts Oversee compliance with VAT, statutory regulations, and other statutory obligations Manage external audits, including liaising with auditors during year-end processes Support subsidiary companies with financial data accuracy, process improvements, and issue resolution Travel to subsidiary sites to oversee stock takes and ensure proper financial procedures are followed Ensure operational activities such as payroll, debtor collection, and statutory surveys are completed efficiently Drive continuous process improvements to optimise financial operations For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact Robbie Lemon at VANRATH for a confidential chat today.
