Technical FS Administrator / Paraplanner

Newtownards (BT23)

Salary c.£35K – £40K DOE

McKinty Associates are working with an established Financial Advice practice part of one of the UKs largest advice networks who have a requirement for an experienced Technical FS Administrator / Paraplannerto join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pensions & investment administrator, based within a centralised team supporting a large team of financial advisers. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial advisers in carrying out high quality research on a full range of financial planning products in line with companys advice process and compliance framework and writing detailed suitability reports.

Main duties will include:

  • Provide administrative support to Financial Advisers.
  • Manage incoming client and provider correspondence and emails.
  • Obtaining fact-find documentation on a clients existing financial arrangements and conducting gap analysis
  • Prepare client documentation for financial advice meetings (meeting packs and suitability report documentation)
  • Liaise with product providers, platforms, and pension companies.
  • Input all client information into the back office system and ensure all tasks are recorded and acted upon within the agreed timescales
  • Track applications through to completion and follow up with providers where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate client records and update internal systems ensuring documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Support general office administration and workflow.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Level 4 Diploma Qualified
  • Previous experience of working within an FS /regulated environment with a good knowledge of retail investment and pension products (Min 3 years)
  • Strong working knowledge of pre and post retirement, planning (including pension transfers), investments and taxation.
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Knowledge of research tools & software (e.g. FE Analytics, Cashflow modelling)
  • Strong academic record
  • Computer literate – Thorough knowledge and capability using front and back-office systems
  • Detailed and accurate
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Ability to achieve agreed client outcomes without supervision
  • Ability to manage deadlines and workload
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
