We are currently recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to support the day to day running of our client’s facilities based in Ware.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining administrative duties and practical maintenance work, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of office-based tasks and on-site problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance
Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g. painting, furniture assembly, fixing fixtures)
Conduct regular building inspections to identify issues and ensure safety standards are met
Coordinate and assist external contractors when required
Ensure all buildings remain clean, safe, and functional
Support with office moves and room set-ups
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, compliance checks, and service schedules
Raise and track work orders and purchase requests
Assist with managing supplier and contractor relationships
Monitor stock levels of facilities supplies and order when needed
Support health & safety documentation and reporting
General Support
Respond to facilities-related queries from staff across all buildings
Act as a key point of contact for facilities issues
Help ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
Support ad-hoc operational tasks as required
About You
Experience in a facilities, maintenance, or similar role (preferred)
Practical DIY/handyperson skills
Strong organisational and administrative abilities
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Ability to manage workload across multiple sites
Basic IT skills (e.g. email, spreadsheets)
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
Desirable
Knowledge of building compliance and health & safety regulations
Experience working across multiple sites
Relevant qualifications (e.g. facilities management, maintenance, or trade skills)

Competitive Pay – Salary £30k – £35K doe
Holiday – 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), increasing by 2 days after 2 yrs service and 2 days each subsequent year up to a total of 30 days
