Role Overview
nn
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to play a key role within our finance team. Working as an integral part of the team, you will take the lead on finance for Awen’s venues and trading subsidiary. This is a varied and hands-on role, combining operational leadership with strategic support.

- You will work closely with venue management teams to ensure that the business is provided with the necessary finance management support and support the Head of Finance in developing a resilient and skilled finance team to meet the needs of the business.
- You will lead day-to-day finance operations across the group, supporting venues, subsidiaries and outsourced clients with high quality financial management and reporting.
- You will oversee core finance processes including budgeting, payroll, VAT and month-end reporting, while working closely with managers and stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and guidance.

The successful Finance Manager will be a proactive, solutions-focused professional with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills, capable of delivering accurate, timely financial information and contributing to the continued development of a resilient and high performing finance function.

Finance Manager Requirements
nn
- nt
- Formal accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or be able to demonstrate competence through experience
- Formal payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP) or be able to demonstrate through experience
- Excellent knowledge of payroll processing procedures, pension admin
- IT proficiency including Excel and Microsoft Office
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes
- Knowledge and understanding of managing financial matters including VAT, tax and other compliance implications of not-for-profit status
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Experienced with dealing with financial transactions and cash handling, recording transactions and maintaining financial records
- Ability to speak Welsh is desired
