Manager – Transaction Services/Financial Due Diligence
A leading professional services firm is looking to hire a Manager into its Transaction Services team, based in London. This is an opportunity to join a well-established deals practice working across a broad range of transaction types. The team supports corporate and private equity clients through the full transaction lifecycle, combining financial rigour with commercial insight to deliver clear, impactful advice.
The Role
You will take ownership of financial due diligence engagements, leading project delivery from initial scoping through to final report.
Working closely with senior colleagues and directly with client management teams, you will be responsible for preparing and interpreting financial analysis, identifying key issues and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations. You will manage junior team members across engagements, maintaining quality and pace whilst meeting tight transaction deadlines.
Alongside client delivery, you will contribute to business development activity, internal people initiatives and the ongoing development of the team’s operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage financial due diligence engagements across acquisitions, disposals and capital markets transactions.
- Prepare and review issues-focused diligence reports with clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Oversee project management tasks including engagement letters, budgets, deadlines and risk management.
- Brief, supervise and develop junior team members across engagements.
- Contribute to business development, pitching and thought leadership activity.
- Support internal people initiatives including recruitment, learning and development.
Candidate Profile
- Solid Transaction Services or Financial Due Diligence experience.
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Previous experience managing teams and overseeing engagement delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise diligence reports.
- Confident engaging with senior client stakeholders and management teams.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
