VGC are pleased to be supporting a client, a leading design and engineering consultancy with a global reputation, delivering landmark projects in the power transmission and distribution sector.
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to act as a Contractor Design Approval Engineer. You will be leading the design and delivery of HV substation projects, up to 400kv. You will act as a technical authority in ensuring design assurance, technical excellence and compliance to TSO and DNO standards.
You will be expected to provide technical oversight on all project stages, through concept, FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning, so we are looking to speak with people with strong expertise in HV substation engineering systems.
You will need:
- Minimum BEng in Electrical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, IET) or working towards chartership.
- Experience working with UK Transmission Operators.
- P&C CDAE/LCDAE in UK National Grid Projects
- Based in the UK
