Technical Lead Data Centre Cooling

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Mechanical Technical Lead to guide the technical development and optimization of hyperscale data centre cooling systems across the region. In this role, you will be conducting peer reviews, identifying system risks, and ensuring external consultant designs meet world-class engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Oversight: Review and optimize complex airside and waterside mechanical cooling systems from early planning through detailed design.
• Peer Reviews: Formally review and sign off on external A&E consultant deliverables, including layouts, CFD modeling, hydraulic calculations, and pipe sizing.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify value engineering opportunities and eliminate Single Points of Failure alongside RAM teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with construction and operations teams to triage design issues arising during construction.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience explicitly designing evaporative and non-evaporative cooling systems for data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Strong mastery of hydraulic/stress modeling tools and overall plant topology.
• Proven background in hydronic system design and water quality management.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with senior internal stakeholders and external consultants.
