Personal Assistant to a recent Graduate

Location: Chichester

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week (three 10-hour shifts)

Looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and caring Personal Assistant to support a

recent Social Sciences graduate with Cerebral Palsy as she begins an exciting new

chapter after university.

No previous care experience is required we provide full training, so this role is ideal

for someone with the right attitude, compassion and willingness to learn.

This is much more than a traditional care role. You’ll be supporting a young woman

to live independently, enjoy her social life and achieve her goals while building a

genuine working relationship with her.

What we offer

  • £15.00 per hour
  • Guaranteed 30 hours per week (three 10-hour shifts)
  • Accommodation provided while on shift
  • 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)

About our client

Our client recently graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in

Social Sciences after completing a Foundation Year. She has Cerebral Palsy and is

a full-time wheelchair user.

She has a great sense of humour, enjoys spending time with family and friends,

shopping, eating out, going to the cinema and relaxing with a good film or TV series.

She is kind, sociable and enjoys a laugh, and is looking for someone who is equally

friendly, positive and easy to get along with.

“I’m hoping to find someone who is kind, caring, can make me laugh and doesn’t

take themselves too seriously, while also knowing when it’s time to wind down after a

busy day.”

About the role

As her Personal Assistant, you’ll support her with day-to-day living, personal care

and helping her remain as independent as possible.

No two days are the same. You may be supporting her to:

  • Assist with personal care and daily routines
  • Drive her adapted vehicle to appointments and social activities
  • Go shopping, out for meals or to the cinema
  • Support her to meet friends and family
  • Help with meal preparation and light household tasks
  • Provide encouragement and practical support throughout the day

This is a one-to-one role where you’ll become an important part of helping someone

live life to the fullest.

About you

Were looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, caring and reliable
  • Calm, patient and adaptable
  • Organised and able to work independently
  • Friendly with a good sense of humour
  • A confident communicator with fluent English
  • Professional, respectful and trustworthy

You must also:

Hold a full, clean UK driving licence

Be confident driving our client’s adapted automatic vehicle (full familiarisation

provided)

Have access to your own vehicle to travel to and from shifts

Be physically able to assist with mobility and daily support following full

training

Previous care experience is welcome but not essential. Your personality, reliability

and willingness to learn are what matter most.
