We are seeking an experienced Production Operative / PCB Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team within a high-quality Defence and Aerospace environment.
About the Role
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in electronic assembly, PCB manufacturing, wiring, cable assembly and harness build.
Responsibilities
- Assemble PCBs, cable harnesses, wiring looms and electronic assemblies.
- Carry out soldering, wiring and over-moulding activities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Follow IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001 and other relevant manufacturing standards where applicable.
- Adhere to Health & Safety and environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and 5S activities within production.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in PCB assembly, electronics assembly or cable and harness assembly.
- Strong soldering and wiring experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Experience within Defence, Aerospace or a regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 or J-STD-001 certification is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
