Salary: up to £55,000 + bonus structure + Company vehicle

Location: Worcestershire/ 30 – 40% International Travel

Hours: Monday to Friday

An established UK-based manufacturer within the agricultural and vegetation management machinery sector is seeking a commercially driven and internationally minded Export Sales Manager to support the continued growth of its export business across key international markets.

Reporting to the Export Director, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced export sales professional who combines strong market development capabilities with the autonomy, commercial judgement, and credibility to work effectively with dealers, distributors, and senior decision-makers globally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the field while contributing to broader commercial objectives and representing a respected business with a strong international presence.

The Opportunity

As Export Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales across assigned territories, strengthening dealer and distributor performance, building long-term customer relationships, and delivering profitable growth.

Working closely with the Export Director and internal support functions, you will execute market development plans, enhance channel performance, and ensure an excellent customer experience. While the role does not involve direct people management, it requires a high degree of independence, maturity, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sales within assigned export territories in line with commercial strategy and business objectives.
  • Manage and grow relationships with dealers, distributors, and key customers across international markets.
  • Build and implement market development plans by country, region, and channel.
  • Identify, appoint, and develop new distribution partners where appropriate.
  • Support the successful deployment and growth of the product portfolio across export markets.
  • Manage quotations, negotiations, forecasting, opportunity pipelines, and day-to-day commercial activities.
  • Drive dealer and distributor performance through regular engagement, market visits, reviews, and commercial follow-up.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service, operations, parts, service, marketing, and sales support teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Provide timely and professional commercial support to customers and partners.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence relating to competitors, pricing, customer requirements, and growth opportunities.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, demonstrations, dealer events, and international trade exhibitions.
  • Contribute to the wider success of the export team through disciplined reporting and a collaborative approach.

About You

We are looking for an experienced export sales professional with a strong background in agricultural machinery, vegetation management, groundcare equipment, or closely related industries.

You will bring a proven track record in international business development and channel management, together with the credibility and commercial acumen to build successful relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers.

You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience in export sales and international market development.
  • Expertise in dealer and distributor management.
  • An established network that could support expansion into new markets and customer opportunities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work independently while aligning with wider business objectives.
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership teams and ownership groups within dealer and distributor organisations.
  • A solid understanding of machinery applications, routes to market, and customer expectations.
  • A disciplined approach to forecasting, pipeline management, and follow-up activity.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally as required.

Language Skills Required

Fluency in English is essential. Additional language skills, particularly German or French, would be highly advantageous and are valued within this international commercial environment.
