Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our team at our Silloth site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in food manufacturing, quality, and technical compliance. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products, systems, and documentation meet customer expectations, retailer standards, and food legislation requirements.
Working within our Technical team, you’ll help maintain accurate specifications, support supplier approvals, assist with audits, and ensure our quality management systems remain compliant and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of raw material and packaging documentation, supplier approvals, and technical records.
- Maintain accurate finished product specifications for both internal use and retailer requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints and coordinate technical queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Maintain customer policies, codes of practice, and technical documentation relating to ingredient and packaging suppliers.
- Conduct internal audits, identifying and reporting any non-conformances to the appropriate managers.
- Carry out quality assessments against agreed customer and retailer requirements.
- Provide support during third-party, retailer, and customer audits.
- Assist with maintaining quality management systems and ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to support continuous improvement and compliance.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and be confident managing multiple tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
You’ll also have:
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing, quality, technical, or compliance environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
