An established, employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead and grow its Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) service in Scotland.
About the Role
This is a senior role focused on leading a team, developing a strong pipeline of work, and ensuring high-quality environmental compliance across construction projects. You will play a key role in strengthening existing services while identifying opportunities for growth within the development and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with clients, regulators, and internal teams, you will deliver practical and compliant solutions.
- You will provide technical oversight on environmental risk management, including pollution prevention, water, waste, and protected species.
- You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ecology, planning, and related areas to deliver integrated outcomes.
- The role includes responsibility for mentoring and developing team members, maintaining delivery standards, and contributing to the strategic direction of the wider environmental offer.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in EnvCoW or construction-phase environmental management
- Proven track record in managing projects and teams
- Solid understanding of environmental compliance and risk
- Commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in infrastructure projects (e.g. energy, transport, utilities)
- Full UK driving licence

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: £58,000 – £64,750 (dependent on experience) + Tax Free Bonus (up to 3.6k)
