KO2’s client, a well-funded and fast-growing startup based in Stroud, is seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives on turning ideas into real, manufacturable products.
The company is developing cutting-edge, low-power connected devices and is looking for someone with experience in IoT systems, acoustic sensing, and energy-efficient electronics to help drive innovation.
The Role
As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full product lifecycle — from early-stage concept and system architecture through to schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and production.
This is a practical, engineering-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys building and refining hardware in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-power electronic systems for IoT applications
- Integrate and optimise acoustic sensing and signal acquisition solutions
- Create schematics and PCB layouts for embedded hardware
- Develop connectivity solutions using LoRa and other LPWAN technologies
- Prototype, test, and debug hardware designs
- Support the transition from prototype to volume manufacturing
- Collaborate with firmware and product teams to deliver complete solutions
Skills & Experience
We’re interested in engineers with experience in some of the following:
- Embedded hardware or microelectronics design
- LoRa / LPWAN wireless technologies
- IoT product development
- Ultra-low-power electronics design techniques
- Schematic capture and PCB design tools
- Taking products from concept through to production
