Associate Director of Mental Health Services
South East UK | 12-Month FTC or Interim | £130,000–£150,000 FTC / c.£450 per day Interim
Community Partners is supporting a healthcare organisation in the South East with the appointment of an experienced Associate Director of Mental Health Services.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior operational leader to shape the future delivery of Mental Health and Community Services within a progressive organisation committed to quality improvement, transformation and integrated care.
Reporting into the Executive Team, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across two care groups, leading approximately 650 colleagues through an established senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible, inspirational leadership across Mental Health and Community Services.
- Lead operational performance, quality, governance and financial delivery across a large, complex portfolio.
- Drive service improvement and transformation programmes, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care.
- Strengthen multidisciplinary leadership and support the continued development of community-based models of care.
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, operational leaders and external system partners.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality frameworks and organisational objectives.
- Support workforce development, organisational culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide assurance to the Executive Team through effective governance, performance reporting and risk management.
We’re looking for
- Significant senior leadership experience within NHS Mental Health Services.
- Previous experience as an Associate Director, Director of Operations, Deputy COO or equivalent senior operational leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Adult Mental Health Services and Community Services.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale operational improvement and transformation programmes.
- Excellent knowledge of quality, governance, performance management and regulatory requirements.
- Strong financial management and budgetary responsibility.
- Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing services.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills with clinicians, executives, commissioners and system partners.
