Receptionist & Administrative Assistant – 4 Days per Week London | £24,746 (Pro‑Rata) | £32,000 FTE | 29 Hours Per Week
Our Insurance client is seeking a professional, organised and personable Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to support our busy London office. This is a dual role combining front‑of‑house responsibilities with wider administrative support across the business.
Working Pattern
- Mon–Tues: Reception (08:30–17:00)
- Wed–Thurs: Administration (09:00–17:00) Fully site‑based Monday–Thursday.
There is potential for the role to increase to 5 days per week for candidates seeking full‑time hours (2 days Reception, 3 days Admin).
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming visitors and managing the reception area
- Coordinating meeting rooms, catering and room setup
- Handling calls, post, couriers and office supplies
- Maintaining tidy communal areas and refreshment stations
- Audio/copy typing and document production
- Supporting events, travel arrangements and general office administration
- Updating systems, running reports and filing
- Providing cover for reception and secretarial teams when required
- Assisting with ad hoc tasks during quieter periods
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in reception, front‑of‑house or administrative roles
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and time management
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident with MS Office and able to learn new systems
