Job Title: Sales Consultant
Location: North West
Working Pattern: Thursday to Monday, 9:45am – 5.15pm
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Consultant to join a well-established and reputable national housebuilder. This role will be based on a development in the North West. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving sales targets, delivering an exceptional customer journey, and promoting new homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the marketing suite, ensuring it is always professional and welcoming
- Follow up all sales leads through telephone and digital communication channels
- Conduct informative and engaging show home and development tours
- Secure reservations by negotiating effectively to achieve sales targets
- Float between sites initially, progressing to managing a development independently
- Maintain detailed knowledge of available and upcoming plots, build progress, and all purchase schemes
- Use CRM software (Dynamics or similar) to accurately log customer interactions in line with GDPR
- Deliver outstanding customer service, keeping buyers informed throughout their journey
- Work Thursday to Monday, 9:45am – 5:15pm, including weekends and bank holidays
- Support sales progression and minimise cancellations by managing objections and negotiating outcomes
- Assist the wider team in maintaining competitor awareness and completing daily development tasks
What We’re Looking For
We are open to both experienced Sales Consultants and motivated trainees who are eager to develop a long-term career in the new homes sector.
Essential
- Experience in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation ability and a drive to exceed targets
- IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
- Able to work weekends and bank holidays as part of regular schedule
Desirables
- Experience in new homes or residential property sales
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as Dynamics
- Familiarity with Help to Buy and other purchase assistance schemes
- Understanding of build programs, plot release schedules, and NHBC compliance
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): £50,000 – £60,000
- Approx. £20,000 commission + £10,000 bonuses
- Plot commission: 75% paid on exchange, 25% on completion
- Extras commission: 5% + additional 5-star customer service bonus
- Mileage Allowance: 26p per mile (paid from home to site)
