We are partnering with a purpose-driven organisation seeking an experienced Group Governance & Risk Manager to take ownership of its governance, risk and assurance framework.
Reporting into the executive leadership team and working closely with Board members, you will ensure strong corporate governance practices, robust oversight and effective risk management across the organisation. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to shape processes, support strategic decision-making and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities will include;
- Act as the lead adviser on governance, compliance and corporate assurance matters
- Build and enhance governance structures that support effective leadership and decision-making
- Develop and oversee enterprise-wide risk management processes and reporting
- Lead audit and assurance programmes, ensuring recommendations are translated into meaningful improvements
- Maintain oversight of corporate policies, regulatory compliance and information governance requirements
- Foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders, Board members and committees
Successful applicants will bring;
- Previous experience in senior governance with a background in a regulated sector
- Proven ability to develop and embed governance, assurance and risk frameworks at an organisational level
- Strong track record of advising Boards, committees and senior executives
- Experience managing internal audit activity and driving improvements through assurance findings
- Knowledge of data protection legislation and wider compliance obligations
- An influential leader with excellent judgement, strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex environments
